On Saturday at Keeneland, the stakes action will continue with the $150,000 Lexington Stakes. Restricted to three-year-olds, the Grade 3 event will be run at a mile and a sixteenth on the main track and has drawn a field of ten.

Swipe has been tabbed as the morning line favorite at odds of 9-5 for trainer Keith Desormeaux. A dark bay son of Birdstone, he has been on the board in all seven starts and is trying to earn his second career victory. He was second to the undefeated champion Nyquist in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) last fall and will be making his first start since then. He has been training steadily and will have Flavien Prat aboard from post position four.

Collected looking for second straight victory

Second choice at morning line odds of 2-1 is Collected for trainer Bob Baffert. A chestnut son of City Zip, he has won three of his five starts since being purchased for $170,000 as a juvenile. He was last seen winning the Sunland Park Festival of Racing Stakes and was able to improve after a fourth-place effort in the Southwest Stakes (G3). Javier Castellano will be aboard and they will break from the outside post.

Riker trying to return to winning form

Also in the field at morning line odds of 6-1 is Riker for trainer Mark Casse. A dark bay son of Include, he was purchased for $60,000 as a juvenile and has won four of his six starts though he has been primarily successful on turf. He is trying to move forward after finishing sixth in the Tampa Bay Derby (G2) in his first start of the year and will break from post eight under jockey Florent Geroux.
