The $250,000 Grade 2 Florida Oaks April 2 at Gulfstream Park features a field of seven three year-old fillies set to go a mile and a sixteenth on the main track in a race with several intriguing possibilities. 
On Saturday at Fair Grounds, the road to the Kentucky Oaks (G1) will continue with the $400,000 Fair Grounds Oaks. Restricted to three-year-old fillies, the Grade 2 event will be run at a mile and a sixteenth and has drawn a field of eight. 
The $100,000 Las Flores Stakes March 20 at Santa Anita features a compact field of six set to travel six furlongs on the dirt in a race where little separates the top contenders. 
On Saturday at Tampa Bay Downs, the featured race is the $350,000 Tampa Bay Derby. With points on the line towards a spot in the Kentucky Derby (G1), the Grade 2 event will be held at a mile and a sixteenth and has drawn a field of ten colts and geldings. 
On Saturday at Gulfstream Park, the featured race is the $200,000 Mac Diarmida Stakes. Scheduled to be run at a mile and three-eighths on the turf course, the Grade 2 has drawn a field of seven colts and geldings. 
The featured Grade 2 Fountain of Youth Stakes February 27 at Gulfstream has Kentucky Derby implications as a talented field of six is set to contest the key three year-old prep race at a mile and a sixteenth. 
On Saturday at Fair Grounds, the track will host the $125,000 Fair Grounds Handicap. Scheduled to be run at about a mile and an eighth on the turf, the Grade 3 event has drawn a field of nine colts and geldings. 
On Sunday at Aqueduct, the featured race is the $100,000 Biogio’s Rose Stakes. Restricted to fillies and mares bred in New York, the race will be held at a mile and a sixteenth and has drawn a field of six. 
On paper, the Grade 2, $500,000 San Antonio is a bit of a head-scratcher, with a credible case to be made for each of the eight entrants in the mile and an eighth race for older horses February 6 at Santa Anita.
