On Saturday at Gulfstream Park, the day of stakes races continues with the $100,000 Kitten’s Joy Stakes. Restricted to three-year-olds, the one mile race is carded on the turf and has drawn a field of seven colts and geldings. 
With an overflow field of 16 signed on for the $60,000 Marie G. Krantz Memorial January 16 at Fair Grounds, the mile and one sixteenth turf race for fillies and mares shapes up to be one of the more competitive betting races on a card that includes four other stakes races. 
On Saturday at Fair Grounds, the track will host the $125,000 Colonel E.R. Bradley Handicap. The Grade 3 race will be contested at a mile and a sixteenth on the turf and has drawn a field of twelve colts and geldings. 
On Saturday at Santa Anita, the track will host the $200,000 Santa Ynez Stakes. Restricted to newly-turned three-year-old fillies, the Grade 2 event will be run at six and a half furlongs and has drawn a field of seven. 
On Saturday at Santa Anita, the stakes action will continue with the $300,000 La Brea Stakes. Restricted to three-year-old fillies, the Grade 1 event will be contested at seven furlongs and has drawn a field of ten. 
The tenth running of the $60,000 Buddy Diliberto Memorial December 19 at Fair Grounds features a field of ten veteran runners set to go a mile and a sixteenth on the turf course in an enticing betting race. 
On Saturday at Fair Grounds, the featured race is the $60,000 Tenacious Stakes. Carded at a mile and seventy yards on the main track, the stakes race has drawn a competitive field of seven colts and geldings. 
On Friday at Fair Grounds, the featured race is the $57,000 Magic City Classic Stakes. Restricted to horses bred in Alabama, the one mile contest has drawn a field of six.
